JUMP START

I HAVE A 91' Z28 w/350 THAT IS STARTING TO GIVE ME STARTING PROBLEMS. I'VE REPLACED THE STARTER, ALTENATER, BATTERY,AND BATTERY CABLES. WHAT HAPPENS IS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START THE CAR THERE SOMETIMES IS NOTHING, LIKE THERE ISN'T EVEN A BATTERY CONNECTED, AND MOST OF THE TIME IT STARTS RIGHT UP. WHEN IT DOESN'T START RIGHT UP ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JUMP START IT NOTHING ELSE, AND THEN ITS FINE FOR SEVERAL STARTS OR DAYS THEN WITH NO WARNING IT WON'T START AGAIN.

Maybe you have a short somewhere that is draining the battery. If this is the case, the longer you let the car sit, the less juice the battery will have. And by the way, THERE'S NO NEED TO YELL!!!

It might be heat soak. You might want to try a "starter wrap".

Hi kid, Typing in caps is like raising your your voice.. for instance "that car is REALLY UGLY!!!" the realy ugly would in a raised typing voice..

Anyway, I think you should check the positive wire that runs from your starter selinod to the ignition switch. I've had this go bad on two cars 84 pontiac fiero and a 1995 twin turbo stealth. the break in the wire was under the insulation and was a bear to find

When does it happen? Is it first start in the morning or maybe after you shut it of and start it up a few minutes later? If it's the latter 812 may be right. When the starter solenoid gets hot it's internal resistance increases dramaticly. A jump would provide the extra amps it needs to start the car up.
