Guage cluster problems, continued..
Tim, you told me I might have an open ground or something.. (when the dash lights come on, the gas guage goes dead, the blinkers blink really really slowly, etc etc..)
I also noticed that some of the lights don't come on, or if they do, they are really dim.. but it looks like I have a good connection at the connections to the cluster.. so I'm stumped. But, I'm wondering, do the dash lights play a role in getting power/ground to any of the guages? I.E.. if there were a dead bulb or 2, would that keep certain guages from working correctly? It's a long shot, but I thought I'd ask..
Thanks

No, the bulbs do not provide a ground path for any of the instrumentation.

Then I am one very confused guy.
I'm about to rip the cluster out and say **** it.. who needs guages anyways..
Thanks man.

Anyone know of any aftermarket guage clusters for our cars? I've seen the intellitronix clusters, but they're like $369 for the cluster plus tax, and then I need the conversion box to take the cable input and create an output signal the cluster can understand.. and that's another $40.. etc. I wish there were a cheaper solution out there..
