i found a digital dash at a salvage yard for a reasonable price but the one i found has way more miles than my car has on it. does anybody know where i can get it set to the miles that my car originally has on it? also, has anybody ever installed one of these gauge clusters, is it something i should take to a dealer or is it possible to do it myself?
any help much appreciated.

 

The mileage information in the digital clusters is data encrypted in a 256 bit EEPROM that is written to each time the ignition is cycled off. As of yet, I have not been able to crack the encryption code algorithm. Anyone know any GM Delco EEs that may know the data encription method?
