Front side marker lights.....

The front side marker lights on my 88GTA do not work when the sidelights are on(the turn signals work ok). I think this is because the lighting has been modified for the UK when the car was imported so I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on how they are wired...they worked on my 82 S/E and they looked really good at night...I would like to get them working on the 88 if I can...
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Each side marker light is connected across the two filaments of its respective front marker light. This is done so that the side marker light will illuminate with the running lights and will also flash with the turn signal.

The side marker light connections are as follows:

The left hand front marker has black (gnd), brown (park), and light blue (L turn) wires running to it. The left hand side marker light should connect to the brown and light blue wires.

The right hand front marker has black (gnd), brown (park), and dark blue (R turn) wires running to it. The right hand side marker light should connect to the brown and dark blue wires.

Thanks for the wiring info. Tim! I will have a look at the weekend and see if i can get them working again! (In between the oil change, wheel-bearing replacements, new exhaust, etc, etc!!!).
