Installed trans temp gauge, won't work

I installed an Autometer trans temp gauge yesterday. The light bulb works, but the gauge does not.

Which terminal do I hook it up at. the "S" or the "I"? Also, do I have to ground the gauge too? I wonder if the sender welded into the trans pan is bad?

Any help would be appreciated.

The sending unit needs to be grounded.
Had the same problem before.
Ran mine near the raidator.

Ditto. I assume you bought a "manifold" to splice into the hose for the sending unit. Solder a wire from the manifold and run it to any ground. It will work then. I beleive the sender wire rund to the "S" on the gauge.
