I just got home at 3:00am in the morning from blockbuster and was on my way in when i heard hissing. So i pop the hood and see some light smoke. real light coming from the area i circled in the picture. I check under the car and didn't see any fluid spilling over or anything.

Earlier I had taken it on a steep hill and had to park it to make room for a baby seat. It was parked with its nose face down toward the bottom of the hill. could that have done something.
I really can't afford the radiator to go. My electonic system is already screwy...


sorry for the rambling and if this doesn't make any sense sorry. It is 3:18am and i am tired and worried about my car and can't wake my dad...

 

you sure it was smoke? steam maybe? you heard a hissing sound from the same area? could be pressure releasing from the coolant system...either the car is getting hot or the rad cap is going (gone) bad. Not sure about the birds, but on the camaros, the only electrical stuff near where you have circled is the fan relay, and of course the battery and wiring harness

doh! just looked at the pic again your rad cap is on the opposite side from both my camaros....hmmmm is your overflow tank over there too?

 

found out what it was. sprung small leak. Putting leak be gone and a bottole of water in the car.
