DELETING THE ECM WIRING HARNESS

Is it a big problem to isolate the ecm harness and get rid of it?My car has used a non-computer carb and distributer since i've had it,and the old harness lays in the engine bay like a bunch of snakes.I would really like to clean it up under the hood, but i don't want to mess everything else up.I'm sure some one out has done this, and any advise would be much appreciated.

It is not much work to do, if you have the Helm shop manual wiring diagrams.

Let me restate that - it's not much work, if you know what you are doing, and you have the wiring diagrams. I've done a TPI to carb harness conversion, and a carb to TPI harness conversion. The TPI to carb conversion involved about a day's worth of work of harness modification, while the carb to TPI conversion involved a considerably larger amount of time and effort, as it required a completely new harness installation and additional power distribution.

I've done this also, and there is alot of work involved but it is pretty much straight forward. Nothing too awfully hard, but time consuming.
