iv got my stock 305 alternator on my 350,.....iv got a 350 alternator laying around,.....is it a good idea to switch?

 

More then likely they are the same amperage.

yes...i have two...and happend to have one laying around i could show you where....one is an ACDELCO and one is a genaric Autozone one i collected. unforutnatlywhat is pictured is the bottom of the alternator and you will have to remove it to see the amps unless u have a small pocket mirror that *might* work.

 

If the a/c delco is from the 305 / 350 they are the same, it is 105 amps and I would not use the autozone junk.
