OK, I got a set of '88 GTA seats to put in the chicken ('89 Formula). Yeah, I admit all the carpet cleaning chemicals were getting to me but after I pulled all the old seats and converted the backs to a set of splits OK , I ran the harness for the power lumbars under the rug, console, etc. and bolted the fronts in. I ran the main power (orange w/ black stripe) and ground to the driver's side kick panel because it seemed logical.
Well, I can't find where to plug the damn hardness into... anybody got a clue???
I pulled the kick panel and underdash panel out of my GTA last night looking for a clue and I don't even see those wires in it... did I miss something here or am I looking in the wrong damn place? HELP!
Yeah... I'd prefer to find the correct place before I go splicing into another power lead.

I don't see that you got an answer so...I'll tell you what I did.

From your harness you end up with two wires running toward the front. One is the ground wire, which you grounded on the driver's side kick panel. I used the screw that attaches the frame for the hood latch pull, but whatever works.

The second wire is the one that will provide power. I put an in-line fuse on that wire, even though I've been told it's overkill. I figure better overkill than frying my car. I then crimped a spade end on the wire (on the other side of the in-line fuse obviously), and inserted that in an (a) EMPTY and (b) HOT slot on the fuse panel. I assume you know how to test for a hot slot on the fuse panel - you can buy one of those testers that look like a pen, they have an alligator clip that you attach to ground and stick the point in the slot - if the end lights up it's a hot slot.

Stick the wire from you seats in that using the spade connector and you've got 6 way power and dual lumbar, baby.
