When I step on the brake pedal the Parking and Dash lights come on?

When I step on the brake pedal the Parking and Dash lights come on?
No i am not kidding, I can't believe this. I tried swapping the brake swith, but it was the same. When I have the lights on, the brakelights barely even get brighter. This is odd, any Ideas...? Thanks in advance guys.

I had the same problem for a while. check the wiring on you brake lights for any shorts, and check all of the bulbs.
one of the elements on one of my brake ligts was out. just changed bulbs, and it fixed the problem.
