Amp shorting out headlights?

Axle/Gears: 3.42
Amp shorting out headlights?
My stereo, amp, interior/dash lights and headlights keep shutting off with no rhyme or reason. My theory is that the amp is bad, causing a short back through the electrical system and heating the circuit breaker in the fuse block. Am I on the right track?

Forget about the amp/stereo theory. I disconnected the amp and pulled the fuse on the radio. Still having the headlights, horn and dome light cut out. Everything is on the one circuit breaker, which I also changed. Please Help!!
