Radio signal not as strong as gf's 94 beretta...

...and i have a 99 headunit. I can get radio stations in clear in with her car, in places that i cant with my TA. Why? she has all the stock radio stuff from the factory, and a fixed antenna. I have power. Recently, there were posts about that raido shack windsheild-mounted conversion for $5 bucks...i was thinking of getting that and an FM signal booster. What are the thoughts on this? Good ideas?

Same thing on my TA, I can't get stations that I was able to get even with my 84 Buick before. I think it has something to do with the antenna and will look into it further after I finish fixing the f$%^*@g electrical system. Later

It's the antenna. After a few years they lose thier potency. Try a new metal mast antenna, that will probably cure it, or try borrowing someone else's that has a newer car-just to make sure. Make sure you give it back tho

Thanks guys. I will try that new radio shack antenna. I suspected that was the problem...they seem sh**ty to me. The radio shack replacemnt antenna that mounts on the windsheild is 5 bucks, and i will buy an FM signal booster. Hopefully taht will help. Thanks agian.

Hey, Maksik7...arent you the one that told me you had the same exact TA like mine? Well, can you email me or post pics up here of your ride man? Thanx. PhantomLo@aol.com
