89 bird, unhooked V6 computer, will gaurges work?
i have heard yes, i have heard no, i am swapping a carbed V8 into the car, and can i hook the wires back up to the appropriate sending units and will it work? tach, oil, temp, volt? thanks

First off, the tach will not work. You need a tach from a v8 car. Best bet is to get a new gauge pod that has lights or gauges depending on what you have on the engine. If you are careful you won't have to re-pin the pod connectors (Get one from the same year). When i swapped gauges I had to reverse engineer the wiring by tracing the circuits on the back of both of the clusters.
