In my 87 bird, my stock tach just quits when it hits about 3k rpm. I was just wondering if anyone knew where the wire might be located at that the tach reads from. I could just plug that wire into my msd 6a box and see if it fixed the problem. I don't wanna take the dash apart to find the wire and i was just wondering if anyone knew wehre that wire might go to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't wanna have to go out and buy a monster tach just becasue i can't find the green wire on my stock one.

 

Its located on the coil. Not sure what color it is though. I believ it may be green.
