wiring on a 305 TBI/TPI swap

wiring on a 305 TBI/TPI swap
I tried posting this in the motor swap board but didn't get much help so I'll try in here.
Alright I'm in the middle of swapping in a 350 SD TPI for my 305 TBI and I've noticed a few problems with the wiring. First the windshield wire motor is connected to the engine harness on the TBI engine on the TPI harness it appears to me comming out of the left side of the huge 2 piece connector that goes into the drivers side firewall. Has anyone had to deal with this issue?
Second, with that large black connector, the pins on the TPI harness' connector don't match up with it's receptical in the firewall. Will this be a problem? Any advice would be great. Thanx
