Banging my fog lights

I think that I have a ground problem or other bad connection.
What happens is when I turn on my fog lights sometimes they will come on and other times not,or one will come on and the other doesn't.If I hit the lights with my fist they come on(most of the time).
Does anyone know where the connections are ground etc and how to get at them.(85 Trans Am).

If they work when you hit them, there may be a short in the bulb or the filament may be broken and making contact whem you smack it. I'd change your bulbs and then trace the wires with a volt meter and check for faulty wiring. I assume you have 2 wires coming out of each light, one green (??) and one black. The black wire will ground the light in the chassis harness somewhere besides the light housing. I'd check the plugs for corrosion and then for cracks in the wiring.
