Security and Infl Rest Lights

I just picked up a 91 RS and these two lights stay on when the car is running. I've been reading about the VATS system and I was wondering how I can go about turning these lights off. I don't have any starting problems .(fingers crossed)

If the lights are functioning properly, the VATS module may have been bypassed & the air bag may not be functional. Try wrapping a single piece of clear tape around the resistor in the key & try to start the car - if it starts, the VATS has been bypassed.

If all you want to do is keep the lights off (as you posted), just remove the bulb(s). You'll have to remove the gauge cluster first (first time doing this will be fun for you).

That's what I did when I got rid of the air bag and got rid of that silly, useless (to me) "upshift" light.
