Anyone installed a 140+ high output alternator, and will I have to gauge up all of the wiring? Anyone ever tried mounting dual alternators? Saw a 91 Z28 in a magazine with duals.

140 amp alternators will have extra output at above 1200 rpm's, but LESS at idle than the stock 105 amp units. You do NOT have to change any wiring in the car since everthing is fused for the wire guage feeding the various circuits. Also consider a larger alternator will shorten battery life. I have never seen a dual setup, why would you want one? You plan on running a small city?
