vats
bypassed vats module with a resistor car had no problem for a few weeks,then the problem came back,took car to several mechanics to check my work they said i did a good job bypassing vats module ,one of them said the only option i have left is to buy new vats.called the dealer new one sells for $400(live in canada parts are expensive)is there anything else i can try or do i spend money on a new one .please help tia

And what happens if you spend $400 for a new module and it doesn't fix it?
What I am saying is, how do you know its the module? What is (or isn't) the car doing? What clues have lead you to a VATS module failure? The reason I am asking, is I have yet to see a "failed" module, and 80% of the cars I work on are equipped w/ VATS/PassKey.
If it is indeed a module problem, you can totally eliminate the VATS completly w/ a custom PROM. Send me an email for more details btripp@sethirdgen.org
