I am looking for a good place under the hood to mount the 6AL box. The car has a/c and I can't seem to find a big enough flat spot to mount it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I mounted mine on the passenger strut tower. On the backside of it close to the fender. It fits nicely there, I used some 3m double sided tape to stick it to the tower.

Yeah I really like the 400 it makes great torque. The first time I rode in my brothers 428CJ 69 Mach 1. I was hooked on large displacment motors. I was 12 at the time it made a lasting impression.

what heads/cam are you running on your 400?

I mounted mine on the drivers side strut tower back in the hole close to the fire wall. I made a plate out of alumimuamn???? It looks good and it stays pretty cool.

 

The system is mounted on the driver's side at the very front of the engine compartment. It was there when I got the car and looks nice there. Just a suggestion.

 

I mounted mine on a piece of steel that was muonted on top of the plenum in two holes. the box extends past the back of the engine and fits right to a recess thats already there

 

I took the tray out for m charcole canister and let the canister just sit up and it made enough room to mount it flush on the battary tray i used the 3m stuff too
