New Batteries

Thanks for the site, and all the helpful info. I have an 86 TA, that continually runs down every new battery, while parked in the drive. After a jump start, it runs just fine; but then after a couple of days parked even the new batteries are dead. We have replaced starter, alternator, and (numerous) batteries, all cables and wires look good. A couple of times, we have hooked it up to a computer to find any shorts or loose connections, with no luck.
Where else should we look, has anyone else had similar problems?

Advise what the voltage is at the battery terminals when the engine (alternator) is running.

If possible, determine what the current draw is on the battery with the "key out" (engine off).

It sounds like either the battery is not getting charged properly or there is too much of a load on it with the engine off, causing it to eventually become discharged.

Thank you for your input.
Its been a while since they last had it in the shop load-testing it; and they didnt give me the specific numbers...but they said everything was 'within normal ranges'; they also searched for anything that might be draining the battery, with nothing located.

I plan on taking the car back within the next few weeks and will get more specifics then.
Thanks again!
