SES light keeps coming on

SES light keeps coming on
I got a question about the SES light.....it keeps coming on and i was wondering how if you can to reset the computer in my car...i have tryed to unplug the battery and that didnt work if anyone knows how please tell me...it started doing this when i was messing with the speed govener

Speed governer? What year car do you have?
If the SES light is coming on after you drive for a minute or two that means a sensor isn't working or isn't plugged in. Clearing the ecm of trouble codes isn't going to help. It's just going to keep coming up. If you're talking about the VSS or vehicle speed sensor which is at the end of the trans (at the yoke) then you won't notice much drive problem BUT the torque converter isn't going to lock (if you have an auto). Don't just pull the SES light and ignore the problem.
