How to bypass the VATS?

My car hasn't started in about a month. I checked everything and it all funnels down to the pass key module. I hooked up a ground to the starter relay where the pass key hooks up and it started for about 10 seconds then cut off. I figure the computer picked up on it and shut the injectors off. How would I fix this problem. Can i just go around the P_key module and how.

Are you positive that it's a VATS problem? By you grounding the starter enable relay, it should of just cranked and cranked, and not started for 10 seconds.

Now all it does is crank and crank. I checked everything, and it all goes to the pass key!

take a multimeter and read the resistance in your key, then find the 2 wire connector under your column[I beleive the wires are yellow and brown] Buy a resistor at radio shack and connect the two wires that go to the module, not the column with the resistor. I think theres an article in the tech articles section on this.
