Internal Turn Signal/Wiper Switch?
Internal Turn Signal/Wiper Switch?
My left turn signal does not shut off automatically and my wipers only work when they are switched to the washer pump mode. The lever is loose when I try to select low and high.
Anyone ever replace the internal switch in there? How much does the part cost and how hard is it to do? I know you have to pull the wheel. Thanks!

turn signal switch is seperate from the windshield wiper/washer switch. your problem is more often caused by cracks in the multifunction arm rather than a bad switch assembly.
multifunction arm is easy to replace if your vehicle doesn't have cruise control. but if you've got cruise and want it to remain operational, you've got to disassemble the column to fish some new wires.
Well the problem is probably both. The left signal doesn't shut off automatically and the wipers only work when in the washer mode. I don't have cruise and already tried swapping out the lever, but it is not that. Definatly an internal problem.

If I remember correctly the switch was like 80 bucks from GM, and you pretty much have to take the steering column apart to get it in and out
