Good question, I would like to know that two because on my 1992 RS V6 the tech reads a 1000 but in reality it is 790 RPM

I'd like to know this too, cuase I just installed my home made white face gauges and I think my tach is off a few. I could have swore when I was crusing down 64 at 80MPH that in overdrive the tach read 30 or 35 now it reads 25. But when I'm idel or going normal it reads where it always did. Maybe I'm just mistaken, would like to know though

heh, it might actually be correct now, as mine reads 23 at 79 with a 3.08 rear...so depending on your rear it might be accurate now

Hey un4givin89 when you did the white face gauges did you have to take off the pointer? If you did I was wondering if there is a slot on the tach shaft that the pointer must slide on or do you just line it up and stick it on.
