Remote hatch wiring problem

Car: 1989 Firebird
Engine: 5.7 Vortec HSR
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 9-bolt 3.45
Remote hatch wiring problem
Ive got an 87GTA that has the remote hatch release in the car but one of the previous owners must have disconnected it.
Problem #1:
I was able to trace the black wire from the soleniod to my drivers side hush panel area where my fuse box is located. from there im lost cause it was disconnected.
Problem #2:
I cant find the Relay. the car is an auto to manual swap and it seems he ran the harness somewhere else. I tried to trace the wires from the switch but it gets into one hell of a jumble after i get up under the dash.
Any help u guys can give me (pics, schematics, etc.) would really be appreciated. even if u have an idea on bypassing the OEM harness and using another method would work fine.

The relay for the solenoid hatch release on a Camaro is located below the center console, near the parking brake pull-up assembly. It may be the same on a Frirebird.

do u have a pic of the harness for the Relay? cause ive got a big mess under the center console. wires & harnesses everywhere.
