Alternator Question
OK... I have a V-6, in which i bought a new alternator not too long ago. It is mounted on the passenger side of the car. I recently bought an Iroc, with the 5.7, but the alternator is shot (located on the driver side). I'm not driving the V-6 anymore, due to other problems, but i was wondering if i could take the alternator out, and rotate the housing around so that i can fit it on the driver side bracket for use in the 5.7. I know this was possible on some alt's back in the day, but i was wondering if anyone knows that i should be able to do this with a CS 105amp alt. I've haven't had a lot of experince messing around with Alt's, but i do a lot of my own work on my car, and mechanically i figure i could do it, so long as there arn't too many tricks or parts i might break by rotation the housing.
If anyone knows that this is feasable/unfeasable, or has any suggestions (like watch out for such and such if you try this), i'd be welcome to hear them.
Thanks,
Joker
