Will this be enough alternator?
Will this be enough alternator?
I have an 83 Trans Am with a moderately built 350 with air conditioning that doesn't exactly work right. I have a brand new alternator intended for an LG4 WITHOUT AC. Since, my AC isn't even hooked up, will this alternator be sufficient? I do spend about one third of my driving in stop and go traffic. Im worried that this won't keep my battery chgarged up enough. What do you guys think? Thanks.

I don't see why it wouldn't. The AC doesn't take power from the electrical system.. well aside from the fan. Do you have a large stereo? If you don't, you shouldn't see any problems.

depends on where the alternator came from and what options you have in comparison with the donor car: power windows, locks, rear defogger, digital gauges, power seats, etc.

The alternator is new, i bought it for my 85 camaro. The only questions the counter guy asked were 1)what size engine?(LG4 305) and 2)Does it have Air conditioning?(No) Nobody asked about options or anything like that. It seems to me like it should work well, I just wanted some more opinions.
