Help intalling a new cruise control lever
Has anyone done it? How do i go about it? I have the lever, i just need help starting, thanks.
Start at the top and work your way down. It's a pain and does take time. You end up having to take apart just about the whole steering column ***'y. There is a plug in connector with the wiring in the lower part of the column.

No no no no no! All you have to do is unplug the connector at the lower part of the column, grab the lever, pull and twist at the same time, It'll just pop right out, then pull the wire through the column. Putting one in you just run the wire back through the column, stick the lever in the switch, and push in and twist at the same time, it should pop right back in!

Thanks for your replies guys! Yeah, i wasn't too sure about the other one since in another post guys were telling me to just disconnect a black wire, i believe, and just to "pull" it out. It sounds simple enough to do, i just have been so busy with the motor swap that i think i will tackle it when i get to work on the custom dash i have made. I have the lever already, it is just a matter of putting it in! Thanks for the info once again!

You're Welcome! As I said it is a pretty easy swap so you shouldn't have much trouble. The connector at the bottom of the column above the underdash panel should be separate from all of the other ones. I do know that it should be 4 tiny wires, red, yellow, blue, and green, that are surrounded by a black sleeve(kinda like a telephone cord) so you might not see them. it measures about 1/8 of an inch so its not very big. Anyway, this probably sounds complicated, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.
