VSS Help
VSS Help
My speedometer hasn't worked for about 7 months now, and I finally decided that I need to fix it. My TCC isn't locking up either, and under normal driving, I never get a fault code, however if I leave it in D,2,or 1 I'll usually get a VSS fault code. I've replaced the actual VSS, so now I just need to know what color wires to look for and how they're routed through the car so that I can look for a short.

Hey nice car after it was completed.....go to the junk yards and search for a whole new guage cluster, electrical problems are a pain in da a**, its easy to replace the one you have and pull off the grid face and pull out the mileage meter in the original and place it in the one u get from junking...just make sure when u pull it out of anohter bird it has the same numbers on the back as your original does..305's and 350 speedo's are geared differnt...i did that to mine when it died on me.....once u open it up ur going to see the electronics on the top of the cluster...maybe something is fried inside of it thats why its not working for you....i could be wrong but its a start for ya.
