I bought this 86 iroc,changed motor to 350

the cruise control don't work.
ive checked vacuum supply to servo, fuse,
made sure the vacuum bleed off was not bleeding off vacuum
has voltage though clutch and brake switch
installed new switch on column

How do i diagnose the rest
i looked for the module over by the ecm but didnt find it there(is this the right area)

Here's the schematic....

Is the VSS signal to the module coming from the cluster toggling when the wheels turn? The cruise module is a black box toward the driver's side of the car from where the ECM is located on the passenger side of the car.

well the vss wasnt toggling stayed at .5 volts
when ecm is plugged in it stayed at 4.5 volts
0 volts when wheels were not turning
replaced vss with a used one i had and still same prob
checked voltage and ground to vss all ok
maybe bad module?

thanks for the wiring link

any other ideas?

The VSS signal from the VSS buffer mounted to the cluster to the cruise module (brown wire) should toggle between 5 volts and 0 volts - but only when the wheels are turning. When the wheels are stationary, the signal could be at either level. If the VSS signal does not toggle, and the speedometer is working, then the VSS buffer, or its optical pickup on the cluster may be defective. If the speedometer does not work, then that will have to be repaired before the cruise will function.
