I have a wierd electrical problem, please help me.

Hey guys, I seem to have been havign these wierd electrical burst here and there.

It only seems to happen when I turn on the car, I put it in the on position and then I hear a click like a relay, but all my stuff turns off, lights, ses light turns off etc., then my car clicks again and everything will be reset like I unhooked my negative battery cable, I know this for a fact because my radio resets itself and its a pain to re program everything. It feels like my negative battery cable is loose and it wobles or something, but I checked and its not.

It also does this when I try to crank the car, it will click a few times instead of once and everything will be reset.

If anyone has any ideas what so ever please tell me, i really want to solve this problem.

If it helps, it all started when I accidentally touched the positive battery terminal w/ the negative battery terminal when I was screwing the negative in, the car wouldn't start after that so I swapped batteries w/ a friend and it turned on, it just does this now.

please help me, thanks.

Electrical problems eh!

well the first problem could be the starter wire maybe loose or the ignition switch might have to be replaced or you might have a shot relay on the firewall on the drivers side one of two ,you might have to check them both but if one of them looks burn't
black on the inside that is the one you would have to replace and it must be the same exact one ,same make, same model, same engine type too!.....and check the battery too, sometime they tend to go out like that too!

Sounds like a loose battery terminal
