T.C.C. Wiring Problem, CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT!!
T.C.C. Wiring Problem, CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT!!
This is kind of long, but please read.
I tried wiring a toggle switch to the ALDL to have a manual TCC lock up, like it tells how to do in the tech artice on this site. I spliced into the wires that the article said to use, and made sure I had a solid connection but I can not get the convertor to lock up. I tested the switch, checked all my connections and even made sure the harness going into the transmission was plugged all the way in. Any ideas? The strange thing is that before I wired the switch in permanately, I just plugged the wires into the ALDL to test it and I could get the convertor to Lock when I wanted.
I also posted this in the transmission forum, thanks.

What happens when you plug one end into the ALDL, and the other end of the switch to ground? Sounds like you just wired the switch in series with the ALDL wire. You're turning off/on an open connection.
Connect one end of the switch to the ALDL wire, and ground the other end of the switch to good metal elsewhere on the car (not another wire), and try it.
