Ground Problem????????
Ground Problem????????
With the headlights on, the A/C on, after about 15 minutes of driving the volt gauge reads low (8 volts) and the turn signal lights flash really slowwwwwwww almost stop flashing. Turn everything off and the gauge comes back and the turn signals flash good. Ive checked the battery voltage with meter at the battery and the battery is good (12 plus volts) when parked. When running, and in the low volt condition the battery still shows good. Any ideas, sound like ground to me, but I cannot find any probs. Maybe the A/C compressor is going bad....thoughts?...........
DId you test it parked with everything cranked on? AC, stereo, lights, etc... It doesn't sound like a ground, it sounds like your alternator is going out. It can keep up under little to no load but with heavy load it's not able to handle it. I'm no expert so I would get a second opinion but my money is on the alternator.

If the alternator is only a year old, try to take the car to where you purchased it, and have them test it for you. Or if you can, just remove it, and take it to an autoparts store, most places can test them for you. I went thru three(3) alternators in one year trying to get a good one.

If its getting low enough to slow down the TS's its not charging. If you turn off the accessories and check it with a meter and its only 12 or so volts its too LOW. It should kick out 13-15 volts. Don't forget drivebelt tension cables etc.
