The TPS has 3 wires. Use a decent multimeter and probe the CENTER wire with the positive meter lead and the ground lead of the meter to a good chassis ground. I use a straightened paper clip to get through the rubber insulator to make contact with that center TPS lead. TPS must be plugged in as normal, it should read approx .55 volts. Some of the later ECM were self setting meaning no adjustment was needed but I am not sure what year that started.
