ok so I start the car up. turn on the lights, the total dash is out, well not really. The **** is real loose so it comes out the headlights come on but the inside dash light stays off, If I wiggile it the light will come on, but then if I let go, it's out. also when I turn it all the way the overhead comes on and so does the dash.
I plan on tearing into it soon. Anything i need to look for, copper wire, copper bar? leads? anything, or should I just get a new ****?

I would say just buy a new switch/****/unit/whatever. They are pretty cheap at autozone.

 

yeah sounds like you need a new switch/unit.. tear it apart and see what could be wrong, maybe something simple.
