Absolutely no brake lights could very well be the brake switch. It's mounet on the brake pedal bracket inline and above the brake pedal. You'll most likely need to remove the underdash trim to see it. There should be an orange and (light) blue wire plugged into it. The orange should have +12v constant, if not, check the 'stop' or 'haz' (something like that anyways) fuse and, the blue will have +12v when the brake pedal is pressed. If it doesn't, the switch is bad

Do the park lights still work? What I mean is, when you turn the headlights on, do the rear lights light up? Have you tried changing the bulbs? Other than that, Deadbird is probably right.

Did you put dual element bulbs in, or have you checked yet.
Shouldnt be driving around with no brake lights.:nono:
Relax, we'll get it worked out. Just lets us know what you have done so far.

The brake lights and parking lamps are on 2 completely circuits.
Even if you put in single element bulb, the park lamps would now just be as bright as when you hit the brakes instead of having a high/low elements.
The brakes are a simple circuit, power to the switch, switch to the stop element in the bulb. I'm sticking with my switch theory (especially since I just replaced mine last week
). You can aquire a switch from any major chain part store for around $10, not an expensive variable to eleminate. It takes roughly all of 5 minutes to replace, if the underdash trim isn't there, just under 1.5 minutes.

One time I changed the bulbs out in the rear and forgot to push in and twist clockwise (dont ask me how), only the park lights would come on and no brake lights. That had me stumped for a minute, then I beat myself over the head with a jack stand once I realized what it was.
