HVAC lights
HVAC lights
Hello all. I'm new to this forum, although I have been lurking for about a month now. I must say that this seems to be the best place on the net for camaro info.
I just got my first Third Gen on the road last month after buying it an fixing it up with my father. It may only be a 86 2.8L (go ahead and laugh) but for the first car of a 17 year old high school student, I don't tihnk it's that bad.
Anyways, when I purchased the car, I noticed that at night the HVAC controls are pitch black. I'm not sure if the bulb behind them has burnt out, or if there even IS a bulb behind them to illuminate them. If there is however, how do I get at it, and what type/size is it?
Thanks, and I hope to see you all around the forums.

Welcome to the boards first of all. Yes it does have a bulb back there. You will need to remove the trim around the radio and the heater controls. Remove the screws or bolts holding in the controls..the bulb should be right there in plain sight. I beleive it is a #194 bulb if I remember right. Get it out first and go from there. HTH ( Hope this helps )
Again welcome.
