Need Help! compatability of camaro and firebird

Ok, I'm still learning auto technology in high school and this is my first post so please excuse my laymans terms, but i'm fixing up my firends 89 firebird that he dropped a 5.7li 350 c.i V8 out of an 86 camaro into it and the wiring is driving me nuts, i was wondering if anyone had any advice or words of wisdom thats can be helpful to my huge project of a car. My goal is to get it running by the begining of summer so all help is welcome!

One bit of advise is be more specific in what you're wanting to know. Camaro's and firebirds are wired up extremely similar with the exception of gauges and lights, depending on year. There are links to 2 different websites that carry wiring diagrams in the Tech Articles section of this site. The can be very handy in troubleshooting wiring problems. Other than that, asking for help about wiring specific items will get you better results.
