Can anyone tell me which wires go to the alternator, starter, and distributor. Here's a pic of the harness at the firewall.

BTW, I'm using a serpentine belt setup. The harness is in my 84TA.

 

ok, not 100% sure, but violet(purple) goes to the small terminal(closest to block I think)on the starter, pink is coil(dist.), now it gets tricky without a wiring diagram, one of the reds goes to the alt, one goes tobatt+(large terminal at starter) them a brown should go to the alt. and anougher red(maybe pink or pink/blk), you can find wiring diagrams (for an 85, should be the same) here http://www.geocities.com/vtcamaro/Wire-Diagrams.html

 

thanks Dave! I think I have everything figured out except for the distributor.
I'm having trouble locating the power wire and the tach wire....anyone??

 

Tach wire should be yellow and the distributor wire should be pink or red
