door locks don't work right

Before my power locks stopped working, they were really messed up. I'd have to push the lock/unlock button 20 times for the lock to fully go in or out. It would only move a tiny bit each time. I'm pretty sure that they stopped working because of a fuse because my horn stopped working the same day, but I haven't checked this out yet. Anyways, if you have any help, it's much appreciated. Thanks.

After you are sure the power is back, try spraying some WD-40
on the slide by the lock to free it up. Its has worked for me in removing built up gunk.

As Z28 suggests, certainly try cleaning with WD-40, then lubing with white grease (the door locks are a common problem). While you're in the door, also clean and lube the window tracks. Also, check the following, since you'll be in the door anyway.

i had a similar problem. Lube wasnt gonna help it. what i did was take the door panel off and look at where the actuator and the metal bar that operates the locks connect. i noticed it was pretty loose. so i got some soder and just wrapped the inside of the "hooked" area with cold soder and broke it off. my locks work excellent now.

Try lubricating the latch & bellcrank first:

If that doesn't work, try the other suggestions in this thread. If the stuff is still too sticky, remove the latch & bellcrank from the door and soak in WD40 overnight, lubricate with lithium grease, and reinstall.

after you use wd40 use some white lithium grease to finalise it, wd40 evaporates too quick

I had the same problem with my door locks not working right. Clean them and lube them and you should be good to go. If that doesn't work, you may need new poppers.
