test for a bad FOG LIGHT SWITCH???
i did some searching, but i'm a little unclear still. im not really sure how to test the foglight switch. i can tell you the little green light on the swtich doesnt light up. i have a multimeter. someone tell me how to test the switch.
if it is bad, could i use any cheap aftermarket switch for the foglights? i seem to remember the switch costing like 50ish bucks.
thanks.

Can you get the switch out? If so, set your multimeter to "closed loop" setting, remove the switch, touch the terminals with the multimeter terminals and switch the switch on...it should complete the circuit and cause the multimeter to either beeb or display a 1 or something like that.
Failing that, set the multimeter to Volts, with the switch still installed, switch it on and touch the positive multimeter terminal on the feed wire to the fog, and the negative terminal to a good earth...this should give a reading of 12v

my dad and me had to replace the little tiny led in the switch, with one of the other factory switch leds i had laying around, after that the switch worked properly and my fog lights came to life...
