MSD box temperature

I'm in the process of mounting my MSD digital 6+ box, and was curious as to whether the heat generated by it will be enough to affect intake air temperature..

Here is a mock up pic of where I plan on mounting the box:

Any ideas?

It should be fine there. I seriously doubt any heat generated from the ignition box could affect air inlet temperature in any way.

OK, just making sure.

I've felt other ignition boxes after some driving, and they get pretty damn hot..

Mounting the box there is also a pretty good idea because you are supposed to keep them away from heat and that ought to help keep it as cool as possible.

i had mine over by the batt as well.... that sucker got so damn hot i was affraid to leave it there!.. so i moved it inside the car, and it doenst get nearly as hot in there. If you want to keep that box working for a long time, i say move it inside.
