RPM stays too high

please help
when I shift thru gears and I have to press the clutch my RPM goes down only to 1500 RPM but when I just start the car idle speed is only 800 RPM
why isn't my RPM giong down when I press the clutch
you guys have any ideas?
can TPS be a possible cause?

My car does the same thing. Won't idle down to 800 until I come to a full stop.

well mine won't go down with RPM even when I stop!
can this be dirty IAC?

could be idle sensor. my friends 93 auto idled at 2000 sometimes. get it checked.

hah! my car idles between 1200 and 1500 rpm unless i have it in gear, then i stays at about 1000. i can maintain 30 mph without my foot on the gas. im planning on trying to fix that tomorrow
