Starter Wiring Help Needed

hey i am putting in my new starter and i forget where the wires go any help?? i have one small wire and 3 large ones that seem to go ont he large and small connections,,, but there is another small connection im wondering if im missing a wire somwhere, how many wires go to the starter? i have 4 in total

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Your main positive battery cable and the two red wires will go to the same large terminal, the purple one to the smaller terminal marked 'S'.

so the other smaller terminal, i believe is marked R? is not used?

correct, it is used on some cars for the nuetral safety switch, but not on 3rd gens
