Change My Alarm To HighBeams???
Change My Alarm To HighBeams???
Ha anyone here seen then independent film "The Last Race". if so during the scene where he's leaving the diner, he dis-arms his alarm and instead of his parking lights fllashing and his car chirping at the same time, his car chirps twice, than about 1/2 second later his inner high beams flash twice (Ac. Intergra). Since the Ac has the same kind of lights as us (inner & outer), how would one do this mod. Oh yea I also have remote start, so I would want them to flash once before the start.
Alarm: Clifford Matrix
Lights: outer: HID, inner: scraped Halogens
Car: 89'RS
*I have a few ideas on this, but I want to know what you guys think would work best
THANKS

Uhh I guess you mean why aren't my high's HID, well I had the h4 conversion for my head lights, I put the hids in my lows because they are the only lights that are legal on the car and I the few times the Camaro is on the road it's night time. My highs are...I forgot the make, but if you look at a halogen they have a painted tip, I carefully scraped the paint all off. The way my highs work are as a tactical floodlamp (dont ask). As far as that goes I have never looked head on w/ the highs on, if that's a guage if brightness. I also modded dubble rev. lights one that is just the normal LED white bulb, the other is a scraped halogen bulb wired the the right button on my wheel (dont ask).

You would just cut the wire the parking lights at the alarm. Then wire in a relay that would send power to the high beams. There should be a relay for the high beams somewhere, so you could just run the parking light wire to that. I did something similar to this so that the undercar lights flash along with the parking lights when I arm/disarm the alarm. If you want the parking lights and high beams to flash, you'll need to isolate the circuit, or else whenever the parking lights were on your high beams would be as well. But if you just cut the wire to the parking lights then it wouldn't be a problem.
