I m replacing an aftermarket alternator that an audio shop installed in my car. I believe it is a one wire alternator cause theres one thick gauge wire that runs from the alternator to the positive terminal of my battery. The other wires are connected to an external regulator. My question....I just got my powermaster 140 amp alternator. Can I just connect the power wire from the battery to the alternator post and resplice the wire that connect to the external regulator to a GM connector that connects behind the alternator????
