Digital Dashboard problem

I have a 1984 Camaro Berlinetta and the Digital dashboard on it doesn't work right. But the gas gauge and the other gauges works fine but the speed and the RPM readout don't work and I am completely lost on how to fix it and what to do about it. Any input that I could get about it would help me out greatly.
Thanx Rob

You have a dead cluster,..........

The "digital" section of the system appears to be dead. I have NO idea how to repair it........ It's the most common reason for dash failures other than a bad printed circuit.

The reason that you still have normal working gauges is because the gauges are supplied with the power they need thru the printed circuit on the back of the cluster. ( & So is the "back lighting" behind those gauges.)

I have spare dashes for sale sometimes - so If you ever need one, just send me an E-mail and I'll let you know if any are availible.

P.S. BE SURE that you get the correct replacement for your berrlinetta !!! A V6 car needs a V6 cluster and a V8 car needs a V8 cluster !!

The dreaded 84 berlinetta digital dash is well reknown for failing...mines did intermittantly, scrambled display etc. The other gauges are analogue hence the reason they work okay.

There was a guy who used to deal in digidash's for berlinettas in the U.S. but have no idea his web address. You could check via a search engine.
