If the headlight switch is bad...Will it prevent the parking lights and guage lights from coming on? My guage lights and parking lights will not come on and my parking lights kep blowing fuses...

 

Not necessarily. That switch is basically tied into three somewhat seperate circuits, so any number of malfunctions can occur. Last time I bought a headlight switch it was $18 and took 30 minutes to swap. My dash lights would blow a fuse if I turned them on but everything else still worked. New switch solved it.

 

Pay close attention to the brown wire near the parking light bulb sockets, it's likely shorted to the metal chassis of the car.
