Signal Light Problems

Can anyone tell me how to fix my problem..............well here it is when i did my motor overhaul (2.8L to a 305HO) we had to swap wire harnesses from my 83 over to my 86 because we were eliminating the fuel injection crap and changed it to a carberated car. We just got it finished except we have to put my lock up on sometime this week then it goes in for exhaust and on my way home when i went to signal either way nothing appeared and i guess when i applied the brakes it was showing my signals on both sides. It only does this when the parking lights aren't on then the signals don't work at all. Can someone help?????

I had a similiar problem theres two ground wires to the left side of the steering column, you will see it in the upside down U shaped area where the steering column is, this ground is for the entire dash electrical harness, when mine was loose my cars instrument lights were very dim and turn signals were weird acting when my lights were on
